The PEFA Secretariat participated in the PEFA dissemination event in Bogota, Colombia where the main findings of the 2015 Colombia PEFA assessment were presented. The event, held in the Colombian capital on October 21, 2016 was attended by the Vice Minister of Finance of Colombia (Viceministro Técnico de Hacienda) Mr. Andrés Escobar, development partners that supported the assessment—the World Bank, European Union, Swiss Secretariat of Economic Affairs SECO, and Inter-American Development Bank—and high level government officials.
The Viceministro Técnico de Hacienda and development partners were unanimous that the PEFA assessment is a valuable contribution to strengthening the ongoing public financial management reforms in the country.
