The State of the Internal audit Profession in Africa (Phase II) research report was released by the Institute of Internal Auditors on April 1, 2019. The report takes a comprehensive review of each of the following nine French-speaking countries to identify key strengths and areas for improvement for each: Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Mali, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Togo, and Tunisia. Phase I of the research covered Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Among other resources, the research used data from PEFA assessment reports. Both research reports are available here.
